Khanlar Ahmed oglu Ahmedov
Khanlar Ahmedov has travelled a long creative path to achieve significant development in his work; he has participated in both domestic and international exhibitions since 1968. From 1972-75 he was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He is a reci pient of the International Humay prize (1995 and1998) for his artistic achievements and he has been a member of the World Academy of Art since 2009.
Of all Ahmedov’s works, so highly appreciated by art connoisseurs, his sculpted responses to the Armenian massacre of Azerbaijanis in Khojaly (26 February 1992) have special resonance. We present some of these works for your appreciation.
